Interested in membership at Zion?
Zion's Bible information class, also known as membership class, is an opportunity to ask all the questions you have regarding what is in the Bible. It will also answer any questions you have about the Lutheran church and how it compares with other Christian churches.
There is no obligation to join our church, but you will have the option of becoming a member after you have finished the course.
You'll even get a free Bible to help in your study!
We'll make it easy
The class size is small, making it easier to ask questions without feeling intimidated. Come and learn about the hope and salvation we have been given in Christ!
Zion will even provide free child care if you need it! Just let us know in advance if you'll need to use this service.
Who are these classes for?
If any of the following applies, then Zion's membership class is for you!
- I don't know much about the Bible, but I would like to learn more.
- I'm not sure if I want to be a member at a church, but I would like to find out more about it.
- I could use a good review of the basic teachings of the Bible.
- I would like to become a member at a church that teaches all the truths of God's Word.
- I would like to learn what the Bible says about marriage, how God wants people to live, and how I can be sure of everlasting life.
- I would like to try it once or twice and then decide if I want to continue on in the class.
What kind of topics are included in the class?
Some of the topics we'll study are:
- How do we know there is a God?
- How did God make the universe and why is there so much evil in the world?
- God saves us by grace alone!
- Why does a Christian have hope?
- What does God say about the last days and the final judgment?
- Why do we baptize adults and infants?
- What does God give us in the Lord's Supper?
- How did God give us the Bible?
- What is the invisible church and the universal priesthood?
- What does God say about our relationship with Him? (Commandments 1-3)
- What does God say about our relationship with our neighbor? (Commandments 4-10)
- How does God preserve and strengthen your faith?
